5 STAR TALENT'S 17th semi-annual Dance & Drama Showcase!
Sunday, 17th November 2024
4.30pm - 6.30pm
Poynton Civic Hall, Park Lane, Poynton, Stockport, SK12 1RB
(at the rear of the Poynton Waitrose car park)
Dancers will perform hip hop and pop dance routines.
Actors will perform acting scenes from Matilda and Six the musical.

Performers do not require a ticket.
The doors will open for the audience at approximately 4.15pm.
As the venue is larger, it hasn't been necessary to have a seating plan.
Arrival times for performers:

DANCERS (who do not act) 3.30pm

If you're able to help your actor to learn their lines, read the line before their line, so that they remember which line their line follows. It may only take 10 minutes of rehearsing lines, 3 times a week, for the actors to feel confident to perform.
Performers will wear their red 5 STAR TALENT tops & white cargo pants.
Performers should bring a drink. Hydrated humans perform better!
They may also bring snacks.
Hair should be tied back off the face. Ponytails or plaits are good. Buns are a little too formal for hip hop, street and commercial (pop) dance.
Short hair that can't be tied back, will need a headband to keep it out of the performer's eyes.
Make sure the performer's hair is done at home. Performers are not required to wear any make up unless they want to.
Name any hoodies or clothing that performers may take off.
If a student is asthmatic, they should bring their inhaler with them.
If a student has allergies that require urgent medication, please make sure they have it with them.
We're excited for you to watch all the talented children.
Let's make them feel super special and clap for each and every one of them as if they were our own.

BRAMHALL CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON
5 STAR TALENT have been invited to perform again on Sunday, 1st December.
As there is limited space on the stage, only eight performers will perform on stage.
Invites have been sent to eight performers. If any of those performers aren't available, invites will be sent to other performers who are ready to represent 5 STAR TALENT at public events.

This is our annual trip to the theatre to watch the fantastic Stockport pantomime.
We're very lucky to have such a fantastic local theatre.
Grown ups drop off children at The Plaza at 12.30pm and collect them after the show.
There is one ticket left to watch the show. Send a text if you'd like to attend.
