UK DANCE CLASSES AND DRAMA CLASSES
5 STAR TALENT TASTER COURSE
New Performing Arts students are welcome to try the classes before committing to monthly class payments.
Once a taster course fee and a contact details form have been received, your child will be ready to join the fun and friendly classes.
ONLINE DANCE CLASSES VIA ZOOM
5 STAR TALENT are committed to the protection of children and young people.
5 STAR TALENT aim to make online dance classes, safe spaces for everyone to enjoy. Links to the online dance classes are kept private.
Only parents who have paid for trial classes and submitted a contact details form, will be sent the website links.
5 STAR TALENT use the safety and security measures on Zoom, including password protection.
The online dance classes work best, when cameras are kept on throughout the classes. This is so that teachers can verify the identity of each participant, interact with students, provide feedback to students, to positively encourage and to praise students.
Parents must submit a contact details form giving permission for their child to participate in the 5 STAR TALENT classes.
Live online class payments are paid for on a monthly basis.
Discounts are given to parents who pay for two or more online dance classes per week.
It is recommended that siblings use their own screen, to allow more space for them to dance.
Online dance classes can be accessed via the Zoom Cloud Meeting app. The app will need to be installed on a device.
There is no requirement to have a Zoom account, only 5 STAR TALENT is required to have a Zoom account.
An online dance class invitation will be emailed to parents. Families must join the dance class using the same device.
Online dance classes run on Fridays.
UK DANCE & DRAMA SCHOOL
In person Dance classes and Drama classes take place in Bramhall, Stockport, Cheadle Hulme, Manchester and Wilmslow, Cheshire.
There are no waiting areas for adults. Children should feel happy to be collected after class.
Mini Stars grown ups join in the class, until the Mini Star is ready to move on to the Starlight class.
There will be a requirement for children in the Actors class to learn TV and theatre scripts, which they work on in the drama class.
Scripts will be sent via email, so that children can bring their own copy of the script to class.
5 STAR TALENT teachers have extensive teaching experience and have all worked as Performing Arts industry professionals. 5 STAR TALENT theatre school was founded by a PGCE qualified teacher who has been teaching stars of stage and screen since 1995.
5 STAR TALENT drama and dance class places are limited. A class place is only reserved once a taster course fee has been received plus a contact details form. Once a class is full, children will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as a place becomes available.
5 STAR TALENT DRAMA & DANCE CLASSES
Drama and Dance classes build confidence, help children live happier, more enriched lives and enable children to discover ways to express themselves. Children gain wellbeing benefits through Dance and Drama improving mental health.
Dance is the most fun type of exercise!
5 STAR TALENT dance classes cover a variety of styles. The most popular styles of dance are Pop dance and Street dance.
Pop dance also known as Commercial dance, incorporates new chart music that children hear on the radio plus some iconic pop songs from the past. Street Jazz dance, Hip Hop dance and Musical Theatre dance are also favourite dance styles in the 5 STAR TALENT dance classes.
Children are taught dance routines to the pop songs which are similar to the dances in music videos.
Students who attend in person classes, have the opportunity to perform in the annual theatre show and some children also perform at local events.
5 STAR TALENT drama and dance classes are fun and friendly. All children are made to feel welcome.
Children attending 5 STAR TALENT have created special memories performing on stage, they've formed strong friendships and most importantly they have had lots of fun.
5 STAR TALENT want your children to grow in confidence, whilst learning new skills and developing their own unique talents.
5 STAR TALENT CLASS FEES
Class fees are paid monthly.
After children have completed their taster course, children who attend the Bramhall dance and actors classes, are required to wear a 5 STAR TALENT top. A top is the only branded uniform required. There is no additional cost for any extra rehearsals required prior to performing in the talent shows.
